Meet Alyssa Kerrigan, PsyD, ADHD-CCSP

Licensed Psychologist, ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider

Hi, I'm Alyssa! After earning my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from Nova Southeastern University, I started Peace of Mind Testing and Therapy because I wanted families to have a place where thoughtful evaluation and compassionate therapy live in the same space. So often, people are looking for answers and also looking for support. My goal is to help you feel less overwhelmed, more informed, and more confident about what comes next.

I became a psychologist because I love helping children, teens, and young adults feel truly understood, and I love helping families feel supported along the way. Early in my career, I saw how stressful and confusing it can be when a child is struggling with learning, attention, or emotional challenges. Parents and caregivers are trying so hard to do the right thing, but it can be difficult to know where to start. I wanted to be the person who could help make that path clearer.

In our work together, I will focus on both strengths and challenges. I believe it matters just as much to notice resilience, creativity, compassion, and perseverance as it does to understand areas of growth. When we see the full picture, it becomes easier to create a plan that feels realistic and supportive.
Whether we are doing an evaluation or meeting for therapy, you can expect a warm, collaborative space. I will explain things in a way that is easy to understand, I will welcome your questions, and I will make sure you leave with clear next steps. For younger children, sessions often include play-based activities. For teens and adults, sessions are structured around what feels most important in that moment, and we will build practical strategies you can use between visits.

More than anything, I want you to feel heard here, and I want you to walk away with clarity and peace of mind.
